Tree & Stump Work Scoped to the Clearing Plan
Not every Houston clearing job needs the same tree work. On a residential lot, it might be a handful of trees blocking the build pad. On rural acreage, it might be stump grinding across multiple cleared zones. On a commercial site prep job, it might be full root-ball extraction so the pad can be compacted and built on.
We scope tree and stump work as part of the overall clearing plan, not as a separate one-off service. That way you don’t end up with leftover stumps in the wrong place or trees coming down that should have stayed.
What We Handle
- Selective tree removal — only the trees that need to come out
- Canopy thinning on wooded lots, especially common around The Woodlands and Kingwood
- Stump grinding for residential lots and near-structure work
- Stump extraction and root-ball removal on build pads
- Debris management and haul-off as part of the scope
- Tree removal tied to fenceline or access clearing
Why Grinding vs. Extraction Matters
Houston-area soils vary from clay to sand, and what you’re doing with the site after clearing changes the right answer. If you’re building on the pad, the root ball matters — taproots and lateral roots need to come out for proper compaction. If you’re just reclaiming the yard, grinding below grade is usually enough.
We flag that decision at the site walk so you know what you’re paying for and why.
